1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Kokoro ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
Kokoro is an AI-powered study companion that enables students and learners to upload lecture notes and documents, generate study flashcards, review materials using spaced repetition algorithms (SM-2), and interact with notes through an AI chat interface.
3. User Content & Ownership
You retain full ownership of all documents, notes, PDFs, and text you upload to Kokoro. We do not claim any ownership rights over your study materials. By uploading content, you grant Kokoro a limited license solely to process, chunk, and index your files to generate flashcards and provide study answers to you.
4. AI Features & Accuracy Disclaimer
Flashcards and study responses are generated using artificial intelligence (Claude Haiku 5.5). While Kokoro aims to ground responses accurately in your uploaded materials, AI generation may occasionally contain inaccuracies or omissions. Kokoro is designed as a study aid; you remain responsible for verifying important academic content.
5. Plans & Payments
Free Plan: Includes uploads of up to 3 documents, flashcard generation, spaced repetition, and notes chat with no payment required.
Pro Plan: Billed at $6.00/month. Grants unlimited document uploads and premium study capabilities. Payments and subscriptions are processed securely through Polar.
Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time directly from the Settings page. You will retain access until the end of your prepaid billing period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to upload harmful, unlawful, or infringing material, or attempt to compromise the integrity, security, or availability of the service.
7. Account Deletion & Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, your personal information, uploaded documents, generated cards, and study statistics will be permanently removed from our databases.
